A philosophy more than 6,000 years old, born in India, that offers a balanced evolution of the whole human being.
The technical disciplines are the tools of that evolution. Practised steadily and with rigour, they bring more health, more energy and a balance you feel in every area of life.
At the Centre we practise all the technical disciplines of Yoga, including the techniques of Kriya Yoga, passed on only through Initiation.
Harmony between body and mind. Less stress, more serenity.
Stronger muscles and a freer body, always respecting your limits.
A journey of self-knowledge and presence in the here and now.
Less joint pain; healthy body weight; better balance and posture; more strength and flexibility in joints, tendons and muscles; better digestion; more efficient breathing and circulation; more vitality and longevity.
Better memory; less anxiety, insomnia and depression; better concentration; more efficient learning; better awareness of the body in space; psychological and emotional balance.
Greater social connection; a positive attitude; less hostility and isolation; better self-esteem and body image; more balanced emotions; more motivation.
That is what the word Yoga means. And that is what we practise, every week, in Lumiar.
Each class brings together several technical disciplines of Yoga, practised according to each student's stage.

01 / 12Steady, comfortable physical postures that involve body, emotions and mind. They work the whole muscular, skeletal, glandular and energy systems and create physical and mental stability.

02 / 12Yoga's conscious breathing brings more energy and vitality and spreads that energy better through the body. It is the master key to concentration and meditation.

03 / 12Sanskrit syllables that, chanted correctly, awaken higher levels of consciousness. Their vibration spreads energy through the whole body and prepares the mind for meditation.

04 / 12The graphic, mathematical representation of universal archetypes: the point, the circle, the triangle and the square. Its centre, bindu, is the seed from which creation unfolded.

05 / 12Hand gestures that express a physical, emotional and mental attitude and release a strong flow of energy. They open the way to concentration and meditation.

06 / 12Energy locks that guide energy (prana) to the higher chakras and to Sushumna, the central channel, making the most of the energy available.

07 / 12Practices that purify the body and the energy channels, known as sat karma, the six purification processes.

08 / 12Complete relaxation of body, emotions and mind, always conscious. It dissolves stress and restores and revitalises the whole body.

09 / 12A mental offering of energy, with colour, sound, flowers or incense. It opens the mind and consciousness and raises energy.

10 / 12Always positive visualisation, throughout the class and at the end of practice, devoted to personal goals and to the evolution of Humanity.

11 / 12Levels reached through practice: pratyahara, withdrawal; dharana, concentration; and dhyana, meditation, the door to Samadhi.

12 / 12Samadhi, the Self-Realisation of the Being: the existence of Pure Consciousness, which brings a state of Bliss. The goal of every yogi.
